Mecum Chattanooga 2023 auction reaches $13.2 million in sales



393 vehicles sold in just two days
 at Chattanooga Motorcar Festival


(October 27, 2023) The annual Mecum Chattanooga collector car auction returned to the Chattanooga Convention Center again this past weekend, as the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival took over the streets of the Tennessee city’s stunning downtown region. This year’s auction saw nearly 400 vehicles hammer sold in just two days, Oct. 13-14, with total overall sales reaching $13.2 million.

Mazda Miata MX5 racer and Bonneville land speed record holder up for bid



(October 25, 2023) GREENWICH, Conn. — A 1999 Mazda Miata MX-5, which set a Bonneville Salt Flats G/GT class land speed record of 165.296 mph in 2011, and was also raced in the SCCA Spec Miata class, is the latest car donated to The Piston Foundation to go up for a charity auction on Bring a Trailer, a digital auction platform. The auction began on Oct. 23, and ends on Oct. 30 at bringatrailer.com, with 100 percent of the proceeds, including the buyer’s fee, going to The Piston Foundation scholarship program.



Mecum’s Indy Fall Special 2023 Auction reaches $19.5 million in sales



(October 16, 2023)  Mecum’s success with its annual Spring Classic collector car auction held each May in Indianapolis inspired the company to introduce a fall-season iteration to further meet customer demand and fan enthusiasm. This first Indy Fall Special auction achieved a total of $19.5 million in total overall sales as 567 vehicles hammered sold in just three days, Oct. 5-7.

(October 6, 2023) Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation had achieved accumulated worldwide automobile sales of 80 million units by the end of August 2023. The breakdown of the sales units are 28.9 million units in Japan and 51.27 million units in overseas. The breakdown of the areas are Japan 36%, India 32.6%, Europe 10%, Asia 13.5%, and others (Latin America, Oceania, Middle East, Africa, etc.) 7.8%.

RM Sotheby to auction 56 rare white Porsche sports cars
