Ducati, AMG sign cooperation agreement

(November 21, 2010) LOS ANGELES — Affalterbach – AMG and Ducati will work together closely in the future. The initial aim of the cooperation between the performance brand from Affalterbach and the Italian manufacturer of high-performance motorcycles is to develop common marketing activities.

Harley-Davidson to build bikes in India

(November 4, 2010) Harley-Davidson is planning a low-cost model for India.

The U.S. bike maker, which reported a two per cent drop in global revenues from motorcycles at $1.09 billion for the September quarter, is betting big on India and China.

Chief financial officer John Olin has been reported saying, "We believe the long-term prospect (in China and India) is extraordinary."

Harley-Davidson sells Italian motorcycle MV Agusta

(Augsut 8, 2010) Harley-Davidson Inc. said Friday it finished its sale of Italian motorcycle maker MV Agusta to Claudio Castiglioni.

Castiglioni is the company's former owner and had served as MV Agusta's chairman since Harley-Davidson purchased it in 2008. Harley-Davidson has been focused on cutting costs and streamlining its business. It said last October it planned to sell MV Agusta.
