(January 22, 2024) Electric Light Mobility company Ryvid has been on a mission to produce more efficient, lightweight, eco-friendly vehicles since its inception in 2021. After creating a prototype of its first product — the Anthem electric motorcycle — in June 2022, Ryvid delivered the first production version of its affordable, highway-capable electric commuter motorcycle in September 2023 and is now in higher rate production at its new factory facility in San Bernardino, Calif.

(January 18, 2024) Among a record-breaking 2,000 motorcycle consignments slated for the auction block at Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycles 2024 are 30 private collections comprising 500 lots, including 277 to be offered at no reserve. The 33rd annual auction will once again claim title as the world’s largest vintage and antique motorcycle auction when it returns to South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas this Jan. 24-27, and portions of the four live auction days will be broadcast on  MotorTrend+.

On Dec 6 and 7, starting from sea level on the Nevado Ojos del Salado a fleet of fully equipped BMW R 1300 GS models managed to reach an altitude of almost 20,000 feet in less than 24 hours.

(October 30, 2023) American Honda has announced the return of its flagship multipurpose side-by-sides, the Pioneer 1000, Pioneer 1000-5 and Pioneer 1000-6 Deluxe Crew, for the 2024 model year. As part of a larger brand partnership between Honda and camouflage industry leader TrueTimber, these models will be available in Atera Camo, a pattern designed by TrueTimber that is exclusive to Honda in the powersports industry. The boxer BMW GS has been the undisputed leader of the competitive field ever since. To ensure this remains the case in the future, BMW Motorrad has opted for an almost completely new design for the new R 1300 GS, with a weight saving of 26 pounds compared to the previous model.
